What is a typical day at the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure?
We start the day with a driver's meeting. That meeting will take approximately 30 minutes and we go over the race cars, track and everything else you will need to know. We then bring you out on the track in a passenger van to show you the racing line around the speedway. You are then called to your car and strapped in the race car. Now it is your turn to hit the race track. We allow 6-8 race cars on the speedway. You are always allowed to pass, and you don't have to follow anyone. Qualifier/ride along check in begins at 10:30am. Driving program check in begins at 7:30am and 12:00pm.
The entire driving process takes about 5 hours with the exception of corporate events.
What is the top speed of the cars?
165 mph. **Tracks vary in size; top speeds and the number of laps in a program are specific to track layout and your own driving ability.
Do I need any prior racing experience?
No, but if you like speed or have raced before you will love this.
Can I pick any of your racing adventure packages?
Yes. Click here.
How should I dress?
You should wear something that can fit under the race suit comfortably. Our requirement is to wear closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes, for example). No sandals or flops, or even clunky boots.
How are the cars run on the track?
Each driving program begins with 30-45 minutes of classroom orientation. You then move to passenger vehicles where you learn how to enter the speedway, the proper racing groove and how to exit the speedway and enter the pits. Next, take the wheel of a real NEXTEL Cup racecar. A certified instructor rides in the passenger seat acting as your in-car spotter, leaving you in full control, capable of speeds up to 165 mph. Expect as many as 8 cars on the track at once
How can I enroll?
You can view our packages or you can view our schedules to enroll online, or call 1-888-GO-RACE1.
Can I choose the car that I want to drive?
Sometimes, but most cars fit a certain sized individual. We will do our very best to accommodate everyone.

What if it rains?
Participants should show up regardless of rain. If the weather clears, we will run. If you are not there, you forfeit your spot as well as your enrollment fee. If we are not able to run due to the weather, we will then offer you one year to reschedule for any track (that we run), date and time.
What if I can't make it? Can I reschedule?
If you need to reschedule, there is a $50.00 rescheduling fee. Failure to attend without notifying the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure first will result in the loss of your enrollment fee.
